Optimate Battery and Bike Tester
« on: November 22, 2020, 11:56:48 am »
Had a look at one of these. The thing I liked was that it tests the charging system as well as the battery...

But...you didn't show it testing your charging system Dave. I was looking forward to that bit  ;)

I did. And I've just watched it all the way through again.

Maybe I don't understand what 'testing the charging system' means.

I see you testing the battery under no load.

I see you testing the minimum cranking voltage.

None of that tests the charging system.

Perhaps you could tell me exactly where in your video you test the charging system of your bike.

Moving pictures are the cassette of the 20's - the random access speed is poor, and there's no indicator through the item about what's vital.
One day soon there'll be a searchable transcription auto-generated by Google.

In the meantime, where's my Bic?

Brian,

I am most grateful to you for pointing out this error - the wrong version of the video (incomplete early edit) was uploaded. :-[

I have obtained the regimental revolver and will of course do the decent thing.

I am uploading now and will post here when done.

Dave

Here it is: https://youtu.be/PlaOewU0g_U

Thanks again Brian.

Thanks for the acknowledgement and the thanks and looking forward to seeing the LEDs whizzing round the right hand side of the dial and of course, the video of the regimental revolver in action... Brian
