Who is that aimed at???

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't understand.
Correct rear brake use is scientifically proven to shorten stopping distances in EVERY road situation.

As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Correct link now inserted 😇

Obviously the copy memory dumped the link to the previous post asking if Richard read his own posts. None intended...

Hopefully it now makes (a little more) sense.

I think I may now be a bit more understanding when roads are closed to collect forensic evidence.
Its not always the destination that counts its the ride, having a destination just stops you going round in circles.

And in almost every other country the rubbish would be swept up and the road opened in double quick time. It was only an accident after all...

That's a horrid story. We've all had those times when car a driver's "ego is so frail," that they decide to try and keep up. Luckily we're all still here, and my immediate thought was I'm glad I have a surfeit of power to get myself out of (as well as in to!) trouble.

In any case. Sad time :(.

In that article is a link called "Road Rage", linking through to a video which is also on YouTube. I invite everyone to have a look at it. What they say in the comments there, is really deplorable. Mostly in the sense of "good lesson for the biker". Deplorable. Should I've been natively English speaking, I would have known other and maybe even more appropriate words. But deplorable comes close to what I'd say in Dutch (criminal is one of these other words which would fit).

Here's the link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBFkBPJYzeQ

I think deplorable is a much under-used word in English and fits the case perfectly.

The trouble with 'getting' out of trouble with a berk like him is that you will probably end up at a set of lights where he will 'get you'.

There was a case in Newbury a few months ago where a young girl on a small learner bike filtered to the front of the queue at the Robin Hood roundabout. This has three wide lanes at the stop lines with fully timed lights so the locals know they won't change on them as they filter to the front. I always filtered to the front if the crossing traffic was still flowing.

An 'old' guy in a car at the front of the queue simply drove into her on full lock (while the lights were still red), knocked her off the bike, got out of his car and thumped her several times before getting back in his car and driving off.

Naturally, none of the other drivers around her saw what happened and even the million cameras on the junction didn't get his details.

Having read this report, it seems the local plod were not trying hard enough...
