Engine bars
« on: December 08, 2020, 01:07:14 pm »
My riding buddy has just purchased a 2020 reg K1600,and he removed the engine bars from his 2017 K1600,however he cannot get them to fit.
He probably could if he cut away a piece of the Tupperware but he is reluctant to do that, can't understand why.
The lower fairing is very different is there an answer yes new bars.

Did he have the Euro3 Pre-facelift 1600s? The crash bars aren't a straight fit onto the Euro4 facelift versions, the GT fairing is slightly different and the GTL is very different - the same as the Bagger fairing.

If you want some good quality new ones try Heed:

I have these on my 2019 K16GT, and know people that have toppled over with them and they done their job well.

The bars on my X/R needed the bottom plastic cutting as just part of the fitting procedure.

Remarkably tidy compared to most attempts. Good recommendation, Belco.

Yes Chris his lower Tupperware would need cutting away, however being a new bike he is very reluctant to do anything that may upset the warranty.
