It looks lower than the standard seat, Martin. True?

It might be a trick of the shape and the perspective; my Sargent seat always looks lower than the standard high seat but is the same height in the centre.

Far too cheap, it's worth at least 2 grand  :o
How the hell can they see that amount of money in a bloody seat with a box on it. From what I've heard they are a bit on the hard side.
I have no personal experience though.

A Sargent seat, with a carbon pod on the back, went for £472 on eBay at the weekend.
My, er, brother was bidding on it.

With eye-watering prices like those you need the comfiest seat known to man, to ease many different types of pain!

I my brother gave up at £430 and ordered a custom one from here for less than half that:
http://www.motorbike-seats.co.uk/page3.html

I He went for as plain as possible. I'll tell you how I he rates it next week.

At some point we'll have to do a seat comparison day - standard v Corbin v Sargent v custom v plank

Your brother told me that you were going to buy the drinks on the Wrinklies trip  ;D

Yo,

Richtea:-     Height wise I can't tell any difference.
Reasewell:-  As for hardness yes it was a little and with the leather it also looks a little harley low rider.....
So £120 later fully re-trimmed with nice soft comfy sponge and a more modern and look  ;D.
I got my one of these for £230 off ebay so I didn't mind putting a bit more in to get it perfect. And I couldn't be happier.

Ultimately, if like me, you know your never going to take a pillion... (got my misses her license!) then get one of these its tidy and solid. Its big enough to carry some essentials, I put my 1.5m oxford hardcore chain in it no problem, and if this goes as cheap as I think its a steal.

A pint for the Squadron Leader, and a pint for the Tail-end Gunner - no problem, Rae.
The rest may have to go a bit thirsty, though  ;D

Price has changed:

Now a £175 starting bid, but £250 and it's yours.

Quite possibly a bargain for a Corbin, from Martin's comments.

I'll stick to my much more 'stylish' and adaptable Sargent thank you. Oh, and it's much cheaper...

'Less' maybe, but definitely not 'cheap'. Unless you're a Russian oligarch.
£728:

Had a Sargent seat on yon VFR VTEC. It was good, supportive, comfy, better than OEM, got my money back when I sold it on too. Also have a Corbin for the VFR Fi1 which I still have bike and seat. Corbin is a heavy beast of a thing being a metal base. Very supportive and comfy once broken in. I find the OEM seat on the K just fine so not going to replace it.  :)

New custom seat. Now before you go urrggggghhhhh, I did specifically ask for 0.5-1" higher seat, so most of what you can see is that extra, which squashes down.
Not as astheically pleasing as the original seat or a Sargent/Corbyn, but if you went for a standard build, it would be lower and look fine and dandy.
It appears very well finished.

Only ridden it for an hour, but it was definitely comfier in two areas:
- height (gives me a little more wriggle room)
- there's a hump at the front to stop you sliding forward

An hour isn't long enough to say in terms of long term comfiness, but it certainly feels more relaxing.
I'll be doing 2 * 1 hour stints tomorrow, so I can get more of an idea then.

It all looks super but I'm not so sure about that lump in your testicles Richard  :o

Looks good to me. I had to have  my seat re done in anti slip at P & P seating, after I bought the missus some Kevlar trousers, I had the hump at the front of the pillion built up just a little too for a bit of added support, works fine and cost £140 and it was back in a week.

Best regards   Mick

Looks good, Mick. Mine is a bit less subtle than that.

The original was fine till she had some new pants, then she was sliding all over the place. We saw these guys at the Stafford show and he quoted me a show price, I rang them about 4 mths later and asked if he'd still do it for the same and he did. Works great.
