So what is the low down on the GS911?  Where is the best place to get one from and is there anything specific I need to know for the K1200S?  Actually where is the plug point on the bike?

There's a place in Southern Ireland for the best price.

The GS-911 plugs straight into the diagnostic connector *under the rear seat on my GT and then via a USB cable to my laptop.

No adaptor needed for any K or R bike (at least back to the 1150).

If you are going to do your own service and maintenance, then just bite the bullet and spend the cost of the first service on a GS911. I have the Bluetooth enthusiast version, but if I were buying now I would buy the latest WiFi version.

Whatever you do, do not buy a cheap Chinese copy, they really do not do the business!

Go to Hexcode.co.za for the home site!

Google will find you the cheapest deals, as always!

I bought mine from Biketec in Ireland because it was slightly cheaper. I rang Ilexa and asked if they would match the Biketec price but they were not interested.

Do you need the GS911 to reset the service indicator, or like the BMW cars is there a way by pressing the trip the counter a certain way?

If there is a way of "persuading the bike to reset the service indicator, I think it would circulate like a bushfire on this site.

I clicked on the wrong post to quote  ::)

Anyway I will probably go for the GS911 when it come to DIY, for now I'll let the  stealers do it to keep the warranty.

Well my GS911 Wifi arrived Yay  :)

Currently no faults on the bike which is good news  8).  Had a good play for an hour looking through the menu systems and ran all the tests that were available.  All worked OK apart from the front suspension ESA calibration, had an error that said "Negative Response received from the controller: conditions not correct or incorrect sequence of commands".  Now the back suspension calibration worked fine.  Am I being dim and not realised that the front suspension is not adjusted by the ESA?

I am keen to know what some of the data means, what do you find useful?

Im pretty sure that ESA only affects damping on the front so may explain it, or your wires are bust like so many.

I will have to check the wires to the front suspension, not had or felt any issues while riding.
