Hi fellow K owners,
just a brief introduction of me, nearly 50 and having tried to get into biking over the past 30 odd years I've finally joined the club, passed me MOD2 on 6th June and the very impatient me had to wait until last Saturday 15th June to pick up my ride, and what a beauty she is.
I'm lucky enough to have acces to Goodwood so have include some photos taken on Monday commuting in for the first time, I've heard so many things, and comment's about the K1200 being heavy and hard at slow speeds, clunky gearbox etc. Having now put a few hundred miles on the bike the past week I can honestly say they are beautiful to ride, stable at 3mph sat in slow moving traffic, cruises along in any gear on our A and B roads, and yep that gear box has a clunk, but shifts lovely, and I'm never going to be chasing them 1000's of a second on the track.
Having researched many bikes over the past few months, I think I'd have happily settled with any BMW sports tourer, or tourer.
Hopefully will get to meet some fellow owners to meet up and enjoy some rides around the english countryside, and more importantly will give me th3 opportunity to.meet new friends along the way.
I'll probably reach out for some advice and gudance, but at the moment I probably don't know what to ask 😂
Hopefully meet some of you soon.
Oops, probably me but I don't know how to add a photo 🤦🏻♂️ so that's the first question, where do we upload pics of our rides?

Welcome to the Forum!
The K-Series bikes are underrated IMHO and seem to be sadly missed by those who wanted newer machines.
I bought a 2010 K1300GT EE with 21k miles and full BMWSH nearly 18 months ago and it’s the finest machine I’ve ever ridden and there’s no bike at any price I’d want to replace it with.
It might not be straightforward to post photos here because we can’t upload the files - they have to be hosted somewhere else and a link inserted to view.
I struggled being an Apple guy and ended up using Google to host my photos but they still wouldn’t display as my phone was set to save as HEIC and the forum software wouldn’t display them.
I changed all of my photos to .jpeg but still had to fool around with the link and that worked for a while but then I believe Google changed something and even the ones that used to display won’t display any more!
After that I gave up but there are other hosting services you can use and I’m sure someone else will be along shortly with a recommendation.
Have fun!

Welcome bully!
Just to show how easy it is to upload images, here's what came into my head when I saw your username :D
And Rae's great instructions are here:
On our forum.
You'll see imgbb makes money with ads. We don't host images because we would then have to look to revenue generation.
Anyway, welcome and hurry up and share these photos!
Also apologies if I missed it but what colour is the bike? As I tell everyone who will listen, I much preferred the K1200 colours! I only owned two K1300s and the grass was always 4th-dimensionally greener.
