BAEHR Seats
« on: September 08, 2022, 01:29:18 pm »
Anyone have experience with BAEHR seats?
I few riders on the GS forum make reference. to them, but see no mention on K1300 forums.
Apparently they did heated versions
No web-site directly related to the manufacturer currently making seats
Found someone selling elsewhere. They look the part but not sure how well constructed, comfort or what the prices are/were

No, but here's the web site:
http://www.baehr.net/home.htm
The English version of the site doesn't work for me, but open it in Google Chrome browser, and it will auto-translate to English for you.

UK  / GB has no dealers:
http://www.baehr.net/haendler.htm

And none for sale that I could see on ebay.co.uk / .de / .com.

From the site, plumped up:

The design/shape looks similar to Top Sellerie:

How does one get rid of the stringiness of celery? Is it just cooking time, or does one always need to chop them into the smallest slices?

Also yes it looks exactly the same! Almost exactly. Makes me miss my GS stock seat, far more squashy, and actually adjustable compared to my KTM.

You braise it for an hour or so. You get long celery but very floppy.

Thanks for the feedback guys
Given the lack of info on BAEHR and U.K support, they appear  not a common favourite among owners, unlike Corbin / Sargent
There is a chap on Ebay who customises seats to order for just over £300, so may look at that option

I know an excellent seat guy, so if you put your location in your profile I may or may not recommend him :winkthumbs:

At £300 I'd give a secondhand Sargent a go first - around their price on eBaywhen they turn up.

The best outcome is you take to a Sargent like most owners do (but no all).
The worst outcome is that you sell it on at about the same price - you lose £15 on postage & packing.

Or find someone with a Sargent nearby you, and borrow it for an hour. But we don't know where 'nearby' is.
I have one near Banbury / south Midlands.
