Good morning everyone.

Can anyone tell me what the standard factory setting are for the non ESA shock? My hand book isn’t with me at the moment. It’s currently trapped behind a wall unit, and will be for a couple of weeks. 😫

Thanks in advance for any help 👍

Alledgedly, there are two poosible bolt sizes. Impossible, but true.

Personally, I would go for the RAM mount on the inner end of the left hand bar. 8)

I have one of these. I got mine from Hornrig.

I use also use a satnav lock that’s permanently attached to the mount and doesn’t look out of place.

You don’t have to look for your satnav (or whatever you’re mounting) Much better than the mount that replaces the BMW badge. I found that I couldn’t use my tank bag (it blocked the view of my satnav) and I found that I had to look down as opposed to just glancing.

I’ve never used anything like this before, but I’m thinking about doing the metalwork and engine with it.

So, has anyone used it? Done what I’m planning to do? Any tips? do’s and dont’s?

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Touch up paint
« on: April 13, 2020, 12:33:02 pm »
Hello everyone,

I’m after a touch up paint pot to touch up the diff/final drive housing (not really sure what it’s called)

Mines black. My bike is the silver, blue and black blue flash paint scheme. I’ve had a look about but keep getting all different blacks. I believe it to be Night Black.

Any recommendations as to where to purchase would be gladly accepted.

Cheers in advance.

I used a product called Diamondbrite on my paintwork on Saturday. The finished is outstanding, but then my bike is immaculate anyway. For the black plastic parts, I’ll be using a product called C4 trim restorer. Not got around to doing the bike with it yet as after the polishing, I took off the bar ends and gave them a refurb. They now look brand new.

I’d prefer a second set of wheels that are easier to clean! I often wonder if, at the point of designing the wheels, someone said they’d be hard to clean. And then I think that the only reply was “yeah, but f::k ‘em!” Im going to be cleaning mine later today 😫

I have a K200RS from 2000 where I look for a good and handy way to mount my Garmin Zumo 350 on.
Any suggestions and pictures?

A pal of mine is looking for k1200rs, and we had this conversation last week. Here is what he’s going to order.

Great bikes. I looked at one before a bought my k12s. If the seller had moved down on the price I would have bought it.

Hi all,

I'm Les, just bought an 07 1200GT after owning 3 K11LT's and various sports bikes along the way. How did I not know how good the GT is? Been out a couple of times so far and have been seriously impressed. Comfort, speed, handling. You could say I'm pleased with my purchase ;D.

Welcome les. If you can, post a few pics of your bike. I run an 08 k1200s. Other than a fried battery and a bit clutch rattle, mines been fine for the (granted, not as many miles as some do on here) almost 20,000 miles I’ve done on it. Take out the extended warranty if you can, and just enjoy tour new bike. 👍

Now you need to order the screws to go with it, take them to your local emporium and buy stainless ones the same size, then bin the horrid originals  8)

What type/size screws are they? I’ve probably got something similar but if you can recommend something, I’d be very grateful 👍

Try your local dealer. You may well be surprised at what favours that may be able to do
