Ride Out Reports / Re: A Winters Tale
« on: December 07, 2017, 03:41:20 pm »
Riding home from college in Crewe to Chester distance of about 30 miles in the freezing fog in November on my CBR900 took me 3 hours! Had to have the visor open as couldn't see a thing problem was the full set beard. When I got home couldn't get the helmet off as the beard had glued itself to the helmet! Spent the best part of an hour sitting in front of the cooker defrosting myself ::)
Those were the days........................................or where they?

So, we won't all be forming a queue at our local dealers then...

I did and what a brilliant replacement for the brilliant K1200(which never, ever went wrong and was still running the o.e. battery after 10 years)
Had the R1200RS for two years now and just like the K I am so in lurve with it.

But hey horses for courses! It's a completely different bike than the K and it takes a while to get used to it's idiosyncracies but once mastered it is the dogs doo dahs. Anyway that's my opinion. And it was my first boxer twin and I am proud to be a boxer boy, I have been converted! ;D

Hi Jeff, welcome to the madhouse that is EuroKClub and thanks for introducing yourself.

Now, as for judgemental....take no notice of that eejit Oxblood or whatever his moniker is, he's banned! Permanently!! Humour is challenging? Really, I mean....

Although this lot have more knowledge than some main dealers and certainly more enthusiasm, as you may have learned the hard way with the oil/clutch problem, we all have to throw money at these bikes one way or another.

Now, now Brian you know damn well that I didn't, ever! ::)

Careful, you'll have the ire of Bob heaped upon you if you keep taking his name in vane 🤓
Quite rightly (bit of a trumpette there) taking my name in vain again what are we to do? Alright don't mind too much but now it's getting personal with mentions of my 'thingummy!' I mean how very dare you peeps start making extremely personal remarks about the size/colour and consistency of my thingummy, have you ever seen it I may ask? Do you want to see it?

Seen this story on another site. They've been declared insolvent but are in the process of trying to come up with a rescue package.

Not repeating t'other thread and getting round to a new site as recommended (imgur or imgbb) BUT is there a way of transferring my stuff from PB to one of the other new sites? Have a lot of pics on PB that I don't have in my on my pc and really don't want to lose them. Or am I just being stoopid?

Am I the only driver who thinks something with three lights, two of which are small but bright, is a pizza delivery rider on a moped with a badly adjusted headlight 3 miles away being tailgated by a manic taxi driver?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it isn't for others to see you, it is for you to see everything and everyone and ride according to what you see.

Brian (who is invisible to everyone, despite lights and flouro bits and bobs [sorry Uncle Bob] and knows everyone is out to kill him at every opportunity 👓 )

None taken PHM but tend to agree with you. Hey but what's all this floury bit thing you doing a spot of baking then? Ah yes I see it's a pizo reference.

You taking my name in vain again Brian ::)

I've finally been able to log in but only via a tortuous route. Had to delve into my archives of paperwork to rediscover my password. Doh.

Unread posts still seems to be unresponsive.

And Geraint Thomas and I think another rider in the Giro lost his life. Sad indeed.

Blacon! I know lots of good folks from that neck of the woods. In fact the lad who services my alarm system lives in Blacon so he should know what he's doing ::)

We're in Higher Kinnerton so not all that far away from you.

Just read on the news that Nicki Hayden is in an induced coma after having been knocked off his bicycle whilst out training. According to reports it doesn't sound too good but let's all hope he recovers asap.
