And as you know from holding a lit bulb (yow!), that resistor is going to get hot hot hot. Hence it needs attaching to a heat sink - like a metal motobike frame.
At which point hand signals suddenly seem attractive.

My supplier is using led OSRAM and PHILIPS products.
All without issues for a canbus.
For exactly 8 years of use in my K bike, no issues, ofcourse they were not bought from Amazon etc..
