I had mine roll off the stand, fortunately it fell onto my leg...

Love it. A sacrificial leg. If you hadn't, BMW would come for your arm too.
;D ;D
I dropped a GPz900 on its right hand side once, as i picked it up thinking the side stand was down (it wasn't) it then fell on its left side. Luckily on my garden path so no witnesses but still very embarrassing.

Late emerging biker - took the first bike plunge at 50 with a 12GT : swapped for a 13S 9 months in... then got my mitts on a lovely 2014 13R Dynamic in rrrrrracing rrrrred! Then the COVID came along... so I upped it to France and bought a V85TT... O Sole Mio etc etc!

If you can get to have a word with one of the painters they might do it as a PJ after work or at the weekend.

I/We were in James Sherlock(stocking up on parts for the X/R for the long haul)end of last year and they were breaking a very tidy K1300,alternatively Dream Machine they do a great job but cheap they ain’t.

There’s a chap who posts pictures of his work on a FB bike group I’m in. Looks pretty good at fixing things from the photos. He posts as ‘project paint & customs’, maybe worth a try?

I don't understand the problem.

Three places in Newbury all did small bits of bodywork for me, binnacle, Sargent seat hump (twice) etc. and were more than happy to take my money and not too much of it.

I'd shop around a little further afield. Call the guys in Bahnstormer in Maidenhead and ask them who they use.

I'll be getting my bike back with a new and newly painted right side panel tomorrow. The place is in Maidenhead and charged (insurance ahem) ~£700 I believe :). S1000RR this is, but still. Indicative... of insurance prices.

Congratulations etc. etc.

So, taking it indoors and making it look like a sofa or a big, rabid dog chained to it. The bike, not the sofa  ::)

Bike came back. Looked over it, tail section paint missing on the outer corner, bike went back in van and back to garage.
