Soft luggage
« on: December 16, 2015, 01:42:12 pm »
I'm thinking ahead to next year and not being a lover of panniers or top box thingys has anybody tried S W Motech blaze panniers on their K or even one of their range of dry bags? I have the BMW rack on the back already so want to utilise that in some way. I'm not thinking of major tours just long weekends France etc.

Nope I/we don't do panniers either its a bagster tankbag and a 55l BM soft bag on the back for us carried everything we needed for the two of us for two weeks.

I rate the SW motech stuff but the soft bag is really pretty good for the money and does fit well

Last trip I needed more room than stock panniers. I knew there would be lots of rain on the way up to Canada. I got the Twisted Throttle Dry Pac 36 liter one.  It comes with all the tie downs needed, totally waterproof , top opening which is very convenient  and strapped it down to passenger seat which made a nice little backrest.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is quite exhausting

The motofiz camping bags are also very good but I've not seen them for sale for some time now
