As typical to almost every other BMW bike I've owned, the paint on my K's engine is bubbled, pealing, flaking and missing in some places. The fairing hides most of this and to be fair to me, it was this way when I bought it, however it's the one part I can't easily replace to restore.
Can anyone, in the UK, suggest anywhere which can repaint/respray the engine back to a nice black finish?My local BMW dealer has offered to do in their workshops for £1500, but I'm sure it can be done cheaper.
