Well, I couldn't help but investigate (sorry). Pics from the Kawa site, doctored by me.

What's the same:
- seat to footrest distance (blue) - possibly slightly less on the H2 by 1-2cm
- seat height to ground, surprisingly
- headlamp to ground

What's different:
- H2 footrest is slightly further back
- H2 handlebars are very low
- H2 top of the fairing is very low

So, desperately trying to get back on topic, you'll definitely need to buy Helibars for an H2.  ::)
And I may yet try an H2 SX out. Once you've done the relaibility test, David.

I’m really impressed Rich! It’s also great to get yet another picture of my bike on the forum! :D

However, I think you may have started with an incorrect assumption. I’m not sure the pictures are the same scale! The reason I say that is that the pictures “suggest” that the wheelbase of both bikes is the same yet the specifications suggest that the H2 wheelbase is 30mm shorter than that of the H2 SX!  ;)

Are you stil looking for some helibars, saltboxer?

I do have a set of helibars, but for a k1200s. I bought them but didn’t get around to fitting them as I couldn’t mount my satnav mount on them.
However, blagged a go on a k12s with them fitted. Long story short, I hated it. Being a little more upright caused lower back pain. Not as much as I had on my GS, but annoying.

I just need to did them out. I’ll message you when I find them, if you’re still looking for some.

Kind offer...BUT, they WILL need modifying to fit a K13. At least the S version.

I've done it and documented it and others have done it too. Do a search...

Devon - thanks for your reply.
Yes still looking for Helibars so would be interested in hearing back if you dig them out.

How do I modify them to fit the 1300s?

Everything you need to know (apart from the photos which I sell to fund my next bike purchase ::) ) can be found here...

https://eurokclub.bike/index.php?topic=1167.msg14167#msg14167

Lachlan (lacmac) is the latest nutter to attempt this and despite succeeding he is now in a home for the terminally bewildered.

If you read the various posts you will/should get the general drift of what needs doing. If not, it probably isn't a job for you.

If you decide to go ahead, I'll mail you the piccies.

Brian (who is only joking about selling the piccies, but thinking about  it, it seems like a great idea 8) )

Im thinking - by the time I pay Devon for the bars (that don't fit) pay The Royal Mail (who wont come up the bridleway if its raining) Pay Brians (doubtless extortionate :)) fee for his "how not to " pics, drill elongated holes all over the place and blame it all on the smirking cat, I might be better off sticking with the Osteopath ;D

I would strongly advise a test of a bike fitted with them. The advantage, as David said, is tenuous. They work for my needs but it is an expensive/frustrating job if they don't do - well, the job  8)

I agree with Brian. Not the same thing but I always wanted a Sargent seat and was seriously contemplating a large spend on one. I then rode Brian's 1200 and have never been so uncomfortable on a bike in such a short amount of time. It was hell on earth. I'm so glad I tried one before committing to something that would have very quickly ended up on eBay.

Weird how Devon reports the Helibars gave pain in the lower back when that is exactly the area that I suffer from with the standard bars.
Mine is buggered from way too much manual slog over way too many years.
If I grip the tank with my knees sit up and back and hold the bars with my fingers it alleviates the pressure so I'm thinking that's where Helibars would land me. I don't hit 170 more than say 3 times in every ride so sitting up a bit wouldn't be a tremendous sacrifice :)

I wonder if any Helibarred 13esses are in the Kent, Surrey, Sussex, area?
