Corbin Seat + Smuggler trunk
« on: May 14, 2024, 11:40:12 am »
In another thread, Richard had the front half of this fitted but the trunk wouldn't go on with the grab rails.

This on my K13S with the standard grip rails. The only downside is that the BMW side cases won't go on, as the trunk is slightly too wide. Longer bolts and a 15mm spacer should be enough to fix that though.

Excellent! It looks v tidy.
That is a tight fit, but it certainly maximises the storage nicely.

(Did the paint match your metallic black front mudguard in the end?)

In daylight the trunk is more grey than the mudguard, but I think it looks OK anyway. It's easier to swing my leg over than the Q-bag I had on the other seat too.

I think you've got the same phone that bike dealers use to take pictures for Ads. I'm sure my K13 doesn't look as clean, shiny and rust free in real life.

It does somewhat enhance reality (ER?), agreed - that is some deep red.

But I can't be arsed to change it - I'm too used to it now.

You git, you made me take mine apart today to clean the rad and give the whole bike a wash and polish. That's probably it for another year.

Planted by Rae whilst I wasn't looking.
