Hi Tom I also have the Cardo Edge so pairing should be easy peasy. I haven't looked at sharing location on Whatsapp for a while but last time I looked there was a time limit whereas with Google maps you can share until you turn it off.
I will look into it.

A suggestion you may want to consider Rae. When we do an Old Gits trip we set up a dedicated WhatsApp group for the trip. That way everyone can join and share messages easily and securely through one specific route. It also gives the option for real time location tracking shared only with those on the trip. You can then "kick everyone off" the group at the end of the trip.

I agree with this Rae, I do the same on each trip I do with a group.

Hi all can I ask who has sat navs and comms and which flavour you have.
And while I have your attention, I have found on other trips it is beneficial to share your location with each other on Google Maps, it's very helpful if any of us get separated. I know some of you already know how to do this, for those that don't, we can sort that out when we meet.
