Kriega US20 - attachment options.
« on: January 09, 2019, 09:35:36 pm »
Hi. I have a Kriega US20 (and 10) that i want to use with my K13R and S. I have the original attachment straps, which were superseded by the alluminium hook varients in 2012.
Wondering if it's worth investing in these newer straps but also where you guys attach the straps to the bike (original or newer straps).
Many thanks any advice / opinion.
Cheers,
Andrew.

The newer straps are a lot easier to use than the old ones. I have them fitted to my S and have left them fitted underneath the seat. You can also use the 2 anchor straps that are built into the seat, which un-hook, so you only need 2 of the Kreiga straps. I've also used the Kreiga straps around the rear grab handles in the past. Basically you have lots of places you could attach the straps to, so get them, and you won't be disappointed, I love them, best money I've spent in a long time, also you can take them with you when you change the bike and fit them to another bike, win win.

That's great, exactly what i wanted to know. They certainly look much less "messy" than the originals. Could i ask you where you have  attached the four "hoop" straps? I'm guessing the front 2 could loop arond the metal "bridge" that spans the half way point of the seat (or using the 2 straps already on the bike - from memory they're situated around that point) but I'm more wondering about the 2 at the back. Did you have to join 2 together like it shows on the fitment  video (which makes the new straps work very much like the old style), or is there some frame visible to use?
Apols questions and hope ok.
Thanks again, much appreciated,
Andrew.
