It's like this Chris part of my remit as a mod is to read all the posts and I must admit that sometimes I skim read and maybe don't absorb every morsel for which I apologise. I'm just a mere mortal  8)

Have look at the bottom of TomL's posts cuz that just about sums it up.
It was something that a much quicker and better rider than me said many years ago.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

A signature used by a guy on the BM riders forum
Most motorcycle accidents are caused by the nut that connects the seat to the handlebars.

I have a query???  You are riding through Harlow, on your own, minding your own business and at a junction or traffic lights you catch up with a couple of other bikes. The way is clear, lights change and you all move off together until the next junc/lights where you pick up a couple more bikes etc.  Does this then constitute 'group riding'?
Yours confused of Worksop ???

Another question that comes to mind is, what about funeral processions they can be very big, are they all nicked too?

You are right Costas, it will be amusing to see them try. I can just imagine it now, group of bikers get stopped and they all say who's he don't know him he just started following me.

It would be quite a coincidence if we both went to Harlow the same time.  ;D

Be a real shame if some yobbo pulled my baffle out on the way.

...and mine. And Tom's, assuming it got on his nerves so much he actually put it back!

One wonders what the 'exact' separation must be between riders, well, bikes actually, so you are not classed as a 'group'? Let's face it, half a dozen locals could take up a mile on the road and bring the 'ole of 'arrow to grinding halt!

I think we should also find out who issues authorisations and then we could all submit a new authorisation request every day till the borough collapses under the weight of its own ill-thought through bureaucracy!

I like that. I'm quite prepared to ride to Harlow and stay (let's say) 50m from the next bike ahead, in a line of 100 bikes, and just potter round and round, and round.
