I have Drift camera, the quality of the recording is very good.
I use the phone app to set it's position it on my helmet.
Its not always the destination that counts its the ride, having a destination just stops you going round in circles.

I have the Drift Ghost HD and the Drift Stealth 2.

Great video quality and slimline profile.

Battery life on the Stealth is an issue for bikers as it has a fixed battery.

The Ghost HD is a little larger but a better bet as the battery is a removeable, rechargeable unit. I have 6 batteries which keep the unit running in both the car and the bike as the 12v supply doesn't seem to be enough to keep the battery charged while running in the car.

In Wales earlier this year the camera failed to work as the batteries seemed dead even though they had all been charged overnight in the camera.

Ron suggested it might be my USB cable as, a little like SCART cables, not all USB cables are created equal.

It was the USB cable that was the problem and I invested in a mains battery charger (which, for £16 came with two high capacity batteries) and not only do the cameras work faultlessly but the batteries charge in a fraction of the time and I can use the cameras while the batteries are charging outside the unit.

The Drift cameras utilise the GoPro mounting systems and as such you get the best of both worlds.

32 Gb cards give over 5 hours recording on the HD but are irrelevant on the S as it only runs for 3 hours!

Brian (who says nice choice of camera, now you just need the accessories  8) )

Where did you get your battery charger from Brian?
£16 with two batteries is a great deal, or was it second hand.

That makes a bit more sense now did download the app last night was wondering what was real benefit (as haven't read all instructions yet) but that sounds quite a useful feature

FleaBay! Just Google (or search eBay) for Drift Ghost camera batteries.

There are loads out there, some as low as £13. I went for the 1800mA ones although I could have got the 'normal' size slightly cheaper.

The item number is 271809033284 and the seller is 'primalplatform', a guy called Dane Nutkins in Thetford!

The charger takes one battery and comes with two batteries, both UK mains lead and a car charger lead!

Highly recommended, especially at the price  8)
