one space available - see last postThe destination for the Old Gits 2019 trip has now been decided. We’re off for a week in the Dolomites.
The plan is to leave the UK on either Friday 31st May or Saturday 1st June (as suits each on the trip) and travel to the Villa Blu Hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo, arriving on the evening of Sunday 2nd June. We’ll then stay at the hotel until the morning of Saturday 8th June when we’ll make the run back to the UK over 2 days.

Pretty decent for a 4 star hotel I think!
Basing the group in Cortina d'Ampezzo gives easy access to a large number of superb roads, as well as all the other attractions the Dolomites have to offer.
I know a number on this site have been on previous Old Gits trips but for those that are unaware, they work as follows: I book the hotel(s) for the group for the week. I can also book channel crossings and/or intermediate stop over hotels should you wish me to. Getting there, getting back, riding while there etc. is all up to you. You do what you want on your holiday. (I’ll be doing what I want on my holiday!). There are no formally organised ride outs, routes or tour groups. Informal groups tend to form during the week as people decide to go on the same route at the same time but doing your own thing on your own is also totally acceptable. The idea is simply to put a group of people with a common interest into a great location and leave them to decide how things develop.
Any costs you pay are exactly your share of the overall costs. While I do the organisation and the booking, I don’t take anything for that. There is no profit taken but that also means there is no guarantees either.
If you’re new to Euro touring then it’s a great way to get some experience of what is possible the best thing you can do on your bike. If you’re an old hand at touring then it gives you the opportunity to share a week with a great group of like-minded bikers.
We currently have allocated 19 of the 25 rooms booked, leaving 6 further spaces available.
If you are interested in taking one of those spaces then please PM me directly. The rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Booking a place on the trip will require a £148.62, non-refundable, deposit. Details of how to pay that will be given when you book your place.
