The icons are simply images, with a bit of Javascript to copy the text equivalent into the message/reply when you click on them.

For some reason your browser isn't finding/caching them. The first three images are here:

Do all three links give you the correct smiley each?
If they did all work, then they should now be cached on your iPad for 7 days (Expires: Tue, 08 May 2018 16:22:55 GMT).

So - if you now reply to this post, are all the images magically there? They should be since they're cached.

If they didn't work, well, who bloody knows :(

In about a week, they will slowly start going missing again, I expect.
Tell me when it does. I can add all 15(?) links.
Hardly a good fix, but they should really refresh themselves after the week is up.
