Can you believe it I have today off work so yesterday I'm making a list of all those things I can get done and with the wife at work she won't be home to incure  her wrath doing them then what happens a gloriously sunny day is what so I've been out for most of it hooning around the lanes of Cambs and Norfolk another day lost to hedonistic enjoyment on the K!!!! ::)

I just got in from a ride around the lanes.
Picked up some sheep skin inner soles, there's been a 100% increase from the last lot I bought. Gone up to £2.00 a pair. Mind you the last were purchased three or four years back.
They are lovely to have in your boots, even left them in through the summer. Had to take them out at the Picos last year though.
Its not always the destination that counts its the ride, having a destination just stops you going round in circles.

Yes, Tom and I managed an improptu lunch at Limes Farm near Brackley on Mon. Such short notice that I didn't even have chance to post it up. Richard was invited by text as I was leaving but was too busy earning big bucks to waste time on socialising.

With more notice I might have managed a 'route' but as it was, by the time I had unmanacled the hack from the K and secured it back to the railings to stop the local shite from taking it for a spin, I only had time to work out how to start the K and find my kit before flying up the A34 and the M40.

Still, summer is slowly getting here so more of these little tales will doubtless be appearing  8)

And a very good rideout it was too.

I am indeed, just about to pay them another £182.40 to renew. It will be my last as this was a side line job that I don't have time to do anymore and my 5 yearly assessments are due next year which are over £800

I gave all that up when CORGI stopped being a voluntary organisation and I had a big set to with the local inspector who looked about sixteen years old. I was probably finishing my apprenticeship when this little know it all was still in his nappies. Anyway, he once failed me on one of these yearly inspections when I used washing up liquid to test for leakages on joints, ("it's corrosive" he explained). Had to go and buy a can of leak detection fluid and send the invoice to him for a pass. £6 a can in those days whereas a little drop of fairy just wouldn't register in financial circles. And, the can didn't last five minutes (no ejaculate). Those were the days and I'm glad to be out of it.

I bought leak detector spray in a normal hand pump bottle so it's easier to top up also a small bottle with a sponge on a stick. Bubble bath does a good job too and smells nice.
I also use the stuff on air con pipe work after one of my famous teflon braze joints at work
