The bike got hot and stopped again in traffic. It's ok on the open road but doesn't like riding through town.
I took the bike bike to the where it came from, small independent dealer, and he thinks it's the thermostat. He doesn't think it's the radiator due to it running well on the open road.
He says he will take the fairing off and have a look. My worries are that he will misdiagnose it ,say it's ok ,take £200 of me only for the same problem to arise shortly after.
I do like the bike, however I also like reaching my destination without a dead bike in traffic.

I will have to have it fixed any way, keeper or non keeper, if it's a no keeper I might put a second-hand one on. If it's a keeper ,and I'm impressed with the bike otherwise it will be shiny new one
If the ESA goes am I right in believing that I could fit a non ESA aftermarket springy thingy?

I've only owned this bike for about ten weeks. If I go ahead and have it fixed, what's the chance of something else going wrong this year?

Impressed with that bike lift. It beats groveling on the floor with a bad back.

Do you think that they will replace it under the extended warranty? If not perhaps put a second hand one on.

Do you need to remove the radiator to clean it?

My bike cut out in heavy traffic today. I had been doing some slow filtering; about 5mph stuff and the bike cut out. I hesitated for a bit then started but then ran slightly rough. To make matters worse I was still stuck in slow moving traffic and I noticed at last that the bike was running hot. Pulling in to the car park it stopped again and again started after a few hesitant seconds.
A few hours later I rode home with no problems. The ambient temperature was about 14c. What do you think it could be?

In the first video the driver used his car as a weapon,so you could argue that it was attempted murder. Some people should not be allowed to be in charge of cutlery never mind vehicles.

The reason for trading my Kawasaki 650,a perfectly fun and competent motorcycle, for a bike twice as big was the fact that the big bike can handle the weight of two salad dodging riders plus luggage ,without spoiling the ride.
To me the 650 was good that it was fun riding it to its limits on a twisty B road and easy to man-handle.
The K however has for me limit-less power and still handles surprisingly well,in comfort.

I prefer to use the gears it's a good way to control the speed. I stick it in third whilst in a 30 mph limit for example.
This is one powerful motorcycle however and coupled with the fairing and screen, which gives a feeling of peace and wellbeing, makes it very easy to spin up to illegal speeds. You need to keep a close eye on the speedo. I've only took mine to 6000revs up until now and that felt rapid.
I think mine will be spending most of its time in its mid-range.
