Bloody Faceache's memory.

However, your wishes are truly appreciated, so thank you. I was always told that if it rained on your birthday it was because you had been naughty...seen the bloody rain in Herefordshire? I even came to Swindon for my birthday bash and it followed me here...

As for bling, well, er, yes. But not on the Black Beast, it remains as dark black as ever.

The wee Honda on the other hand looks like a Xmas tree chugging through the ruts  8)

I'm being treated to an off-road training day by swimbo but that's not till the flood abates... 8)

Happy Birthday Brian. Who are you doing the off-road training day with?

A local outfit in Ledbury, Trailquest. It's less full-on than the BM day and is focussing on a couple of my specific weaknesses, slow-speed manoeuvring and riding in and out of ruts. It's a one to one day but they don't do more than 1 to 4.

They used to be the corporate training provider for Triumph but they wanted them to take many more clients at a time and the guy refused on principle and pulled out. He is doing it with Royal Enfield at the moment.

The guy Triumph took the business to has had quite a few cistomer accidents including one guy with a broken back and Triumph are now thinking of stopping altogether.

Time for more of the hard stuff later.

Happy birthday Brian, I hope you have a bottle of something nice nearby.
Its not always the destination that counts its the ride, having a destination just stops you going round in circles.

Having had a lifelong (well, since 1970) love affair with the Ford GT40, it was going to be a track day with one but I figured that would be a) way too tempting and b) ultimately very, very expensive. I settled on something less exotic but way more useful. Hopefully!

I was going to head off to the Yamaha school but that is maybe the next stage in my education  ::)

We will have to get together an have an off-road play some time. I'm off back to Iceland again this year.

Off course it doesn't always go to plan.

I always find it slightly creepy when grown men invite other grown men to "play"  :o
