« on: October 31, 2018, 01:41:54 am »Depends if it’s the K1200RS from pre 2003, or the 05 - 07 K1200RS that’s like a K1200R with a bit more fairing. If it is the first one, it’s a definite no. The latter might fit physically, but there would be problems.
Even a K1200S engine into a K1300S bike would be a challenge - the ECU would have a different fuel map for starters. It might run, but I don’t think it would be satisfactory.
If it helps, I have a K1300S engine going spare - price depends on which bits of it you need! Thx. Steve I'm going too have the engine out in two days most likely needs a crank & rods . Or do you have engine for sale? I don't need trans or the clutch.

I have 2009 k1300s with a bad rod and I have a 2007 k1200rs engine will it work will the ECU or can it be programmed? Sorry it's k1200r
