Rider 500 charging points
« on: August 31, 2023, 06:01:47 pm »
Hiya all, is there anyone out there who knows how to delete the charging points on a TomTom Rider 500? Apart from being completely useless in that I do not own or use any electric vehicles they also use up valuable memory.

Any help will be gratefully accepted ;D

Go into the POI My places section and hide them, might require a restart.

Thanks Rae. A good idea but I am afraid that it does not work. There are my own POIs which I can delete then there are TomTom’s places which include Charging Stations and various biker themed places which I can not.

As ever, many thanks Rae for your time and trouble but it looks as though I am stuck with these pesky charging points for the lifetime of my TomTom. >:(

MyDriveConnect may be able to remove them.

Aah! Yet another good idea Rae.  I will boot up my computer tomorrow and have a look at MyDriveConnect. I will let you know what happens.

I have the same issue with my Tomtom Rider. I’ve looked for obvious answers in the obvious places and not found anything.  I decided it was easier to just ignore the charge points as "noise" on the map as the easy answer.  :(
Correct rear brake use is scientifically proven to shorten stopping distances in EVERY road situation.

Thanks Rae. The charging points are now "hidden" leaving me ith a clear screen.

Black K1 - connect your TomTom to your computer. Click the arrow to bring up the normal screen. Click Settings then Appearance, Show POI lists then Hide Charging Station. Quite simple when you have a Rae to show you how!! 8)
