Still to answer the statement above when put under the dealers PC we see to many issues and faults on bikes with batteries over 3 years.
Erasing them delets the issues, stil, that doesn't mean that the bike performs as it soukd, its the case of simply not being noticed by the rider,  the bike needs diagnostics .

1600 and 1800 cc. engines do not have the same type of radiator as the 12,13 ones.
Much more easier to clean and no clogging  issues.
Unfortunately The use of the silica/sand based compounds, used only in UK, roads during winder time , even after so many letters adressed to the UK  ministry of transportation had no results.
Similar issues are faced with some vehicles from Stelandis and VW group.

My supplier is using led OSRAM and PHILIPS products.
All without issues for a canbus.
For exactly 8 years of use in my K bike, no issues, ofcourse they were not bought from Amazon etc..

Castrol has ceased being the BMW supplier from 2010.
Any brand oil will do for the final drive.

The battery on any K bike is always connected and in such state the time llimit is two years.
Some fortune ones had batteries that lasted more , still the change mark time is two years.
Try a Li Ion battery from a good brand and the new battery will be an issue every five years, bear in mind that for the first 7 minutes every time your shifter will be intolerable and not performing changes , this for K13 bikes, after that youre good to go. That issue with this type of batteries is causing a thousand gremlins in many brands and many bike models espacially those over 600cc.

I believe none of the above were included to the real racing version, so it did well among other BMW of the same type that is.
The full version was at the time the most expensive bike of the series.

The deep and detailed knowledge aquired for K bikes is astonishing.
Still its a bike we love but a bike old, and comparing it only encyclopedic knowledge offers.

That's what the strake bars are for. M25 filtering I think.

They are actually there to secure bike from spinning in case of a fall after both low or high sliding.
