A few updates for the winter.

I've added some vinyl decals in 3M reflective material.
It's orange in daylight but reflects brightly under headlights etc...

Nice! If you like a bit of bling  ;)

Did you fit the
K1300S on the rim tape the opposite way up to the K1300S on the rim on purpose?

The paint looks like a good job. Not my choice of colour but a good job all the same. (I'd have preferred the black and grey)

The additional stickers again look pretty good if not in my choice of colour. (Grey would have looked better! ;)   )

However, that box!!!!  Yuck!

The K1300S on the rim tape is orientated so that the bottom faces hubwards.
So I guess that's a "yes", it's deliberate.

The small K1300s logos on the outer rims may not be staying as I'm not sure I like them.
They make the rim look a bit cluttered so I didn't fit them on the front rim.

Vinyl is from Stickman Vinyl online.

Yes.
The box is a necessary evil as this bike is my daily transport so I need to accommodate laptop, suit jacket etc...
It is however, certainly somewhat less than pretty.

Don't listen to the top-box police. Your box could be the prettiest thing on earth but they will still dis you for it  :D

Personally, I just love a big top-box, or even a small one, or a wooden one, I don't care, just give me function over form every day (and you notice David voted for function over form when it came to split pin fitting/removal so he's just being contrary...).

I suspect that fitting a split pin "the other way around" is unlikely to have a detrimental affect on either the dynamics or the aerodynamics of a 170+mph motorcycle. ;)

It's all down to which function you are referring to! :D

I never noticed any difference in dynamics or aerodynamics between my topbox equipped bike and your pack on the pillion seat bike when we were pressing on...

I don't use my givi top box much, but when I do there is a definite but slight buffeting of the bike.

Looks great that Martin, I used to get a terrible wobble with my top and side box's on when cornering at anything over 120 MPH. 8) :o

I think it looks great Martin. It brightens up an otherwise drab paint scheme. Wish I'd adorned that to my R when I owned it.  ;) As for the top box...………...function over form any day.

Seeing as both Andy and Tom (and David come to that) are rather large lads, one wonders if it is a combination of rider and top box   :D

Even a straw causes air disturbance and 'dirty' air hitting the top-box is what it's all about  :D :D
