Title: K1200R (June 2006) Emissions - Crit Air Classification, Info Needed
Post by: badmash on July 18, 2020, 10:13:48 pm
Does anyone know what the emissions are for a K1200R, I've just checked my V5, which is largely blank, trying to work out whether the bike is Euro 2 or Euro 3 for the French Crit Air Application.

Thanks in advance

Euro 4,introduce in January 2005 to September 2009.
Need to know the date of first registration.
Cross France in the last two year in August and ride in Paris ,didn't care about applying for the crit air .

TomL, have you got a link to that definitive statement, I did google and found nothing conclusive.

Thanks everyone for responding.

Google K1300R emissions and on every site that I checked it showed something like  "Emission control Closed-loop 3-way catalytic converter, emission standard EU-3"

Euro3. If you need something like an official documentation then a simple email to BMW motorrad would get the documentation.

I’m more interested in the French thing, over here then maybe with good old Brum about to introduce the clean air charge, but It would be fun to see how that works if one rides in with French number plates...

My experience of France is down to speeding the rest is sorted with  a shrug of the shoulders  :)

One thing I know for sure, it is ULEZ exempt for central London. I checked online and behold I can ride with impunity into the Khan empire! Chatted to City of London officer who was at a check point (traffic lights) and just said I was glad to be heading out for "fresh air" from City fo London. He laughed and basically said have fun. They pulled a scooter for reckless riding. Me fully kitted out sweating like a pig, him t shirt, trackpants, trainers... meh.

Further to this, I've just applied for a crit'air sticker for the K1300S. My V5 is blank but I did state Euro 3 on the application form. The email temp sticker has arrived showing yellow crit 2. This is for Euro 5 and 6 vehicles. Is this a lucky error or is it normal for our bikes? I probably won't go into any restricted areas but for under £5 and lasting the life of the bike it's a banker.
