Title: Corrosion warranty work Aberdeen
Post by: mab1067 on May 02, 2017, 09:17:12 am
Have to give Nathan at BMW Aberdeen (Mech) and Matt the sales guys a big shout out.
Front wheel carrier and rear hub assembly completely changed out free of charge and subsequent service for bevel gears included.
BMW Aberdeen not long started doing service etc on Bikes and young Nathan certainly seems to be setting them off in the right way. Bike in for 2 days and supplied with courtesy car. Very happy with work carried out, bike certainly going a like a new one.
Not very often you come away from dealers these days with a smile on your face. So far had 2 services carried out and now the warranty work completely without any issues at all. Well done.

Thought you should know Costas.

Great to hear good news about a dealer experience for a change. By our very nature, we tend to hear only about the whinges! Now, how far is Aberdeen from Berkshire....

Info was already forwarded to a chap that met today at my dealers. The MAN has traveled all the way fm Australia on a GS shiped bike to cape town , then rode all the way up to South Sudan then shiped bike to Saudi Arabia then rode to Israel  shiped again to Greece and came to my mechanic for a service and nessesary repairs (had a dreadfull fal, in kenya). His coming now to UK and Ireland via bulgariaa d some other central europian countries, aim is Isle of man for TT races.
Then plans to ride all the way Scandinavian countries and then down to Spain, Morocco in Africa and many other countries up to Cape and ship bike to Melbourne. He is young and fearless and earned my respect. Passed him all the info fm our site regarding mechanics recommended by our members.

I remember when I was that young and reckless. Or fearless, as the case may be.

A few months ago I was considering my options, move home or sell up, buy a GS and tour the world.

In my lunchtime I was legend! In fact, I was more of a leg end!

Needless to say, the house move won; boring but that is old age for you.

Brian (who thinks that such youthful recklessness needs to be encouraged, celebrated and supported by us all and that is official  8) )

I hope Maidenhead are as good when I mention the lovely corrosion fearless Brian pointed out the other day! :P

By the way Mabs, are we talking manufacturer warranty or extended insured warranty thing?

Total warranty with no costs involved at all to me.
They called it a goodwill claim as bike was just over the normal warranty by 3 months (14 reg). Can t complain at all to be honest.
Young Tech even did the Fuel filler mod for me as I had mentioned it again no charge.
