K1600B & bike markets
« on: October 05, 2018, 02:22:00 pm »
Interesting to see these contrasting figures:

MCN :
K1300S 19 for sale
K1600B 19 for sale

eBay:
K1300S 50 for sale
K1600B 5 for sale

BikeTrader (aka Autotrader):
K1300S 48 for sale
K1600B 5 for sale

Two things come to mind:

1. BMW dealers are advertising what must be demo stock Bagsters (6 months after launch?)
But not on MCN only. Wonder what the logic is there.

2. MCN isn't very popular with private buyers / older bikes. Bit of a surprise.

No bargains on the K1600B front, but maybe worth a watch if you fancy a B model. Its a buyers market.

(And no, I can't remember why I was looking at Bagsters!  :-[ :-[ :-[)

Working at a computer doesn't help, you're right. All too easy to have a quick potter at lunchtime.

And on that note, here's another random fact:

"He’s a bona fide “petrolhead”, who rides a BMW K1600 motorbike at weekends"

Cheeky bugger!
It's flapping denim flares I look forward to - as the wasps hurtle up my trouser legs.

I think Baggers will be the K of choice in 25 years time. When it's fashionable to build a stripped down K1600, like youngsters do with the old K100s nowadays:

And by the way, the Bagster is suprisingly comfy for tall people. To sit on. But don't tell anyone.

Heh heh I remember being 17 and having flared jeans flapping in the breeze, they got catch on the foot pegs a couple times so I couldn’t get me foot down till the bike, a rip snorting RD200, went over.
Oh happy days😁
