I bumped into a chap last year who was one up on a GS we were on the X/R he was determined to prove it was quicker.... it wasn’t and I proved it to him two up.... unfortunately I also got 6 points along the way.... but hey ho.

It's got a deceptive look, seat looks pretty low in that photo, but my 30" legs... I'll have a try tomorrow!

Are you going to a BM dealer? If so they will go through all the options the stock bike has 3 different seat heights but BM actually make a low X/R.

You could always 3-D print some thicker soles for your boots...

Perhaps you should try the R1250RS.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Can I just say, I think Matt needs to try the 1250RS.
If only for our benefit of the 1200 v 1250 comparison.
