Rear Tyre Sensor
« on: April 20, 2018, 11:32:12 am »
My local tyre fitter managed to catch and break the back wheel tyre sensor while removing a worn tyre recently. In fairness he offered to pay for it but as he charges me €5 to take off the tyres I couldent very well do so.
Anyway I picked up a second hand unit from Sherlocks which is now fitted. Its not working but I have something in the deepest recesses of my mind about it having to be initialised/matched using the BMW diagnostics.
Can anyone please confirm this is the case or have I bought a pup? :-\

The sensor has to be introduced to the system, you need someone with a GS 911 or a trip to the dealers will be in order.

Did you take a note of the new sensor's number?
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

A dealer might have a tool to wake it up but much easier if you have the number plus it can be done with a GS911.
